Position title : Project manager (speaking mandarin, native)

Report to : General manager and clients

Location : QPSOFTWARE’s office in Jing An district, Shanghai

Length : long term contract

QP Software is a Shanghai-based agency delivering digital products (Website, web application, APP, Mini Program) for Start-ups and large Corporates in China and APAC (Air France, KLM, LVMH, Auchan, Montagut, Schneider Electric).

We specialize in developing customized digital products for clients across diverse industries such as education, tourism, and retail. Our services encompass everything from prototyping to user interface design, technical solution selection, coding, and scalability.
 

Job Description :

You will hold a key position within our agency, overseeing multiple clients and projects in the Chinese and APAC markets.

Your responsibilities include planning, assigning tasks to the production team, and ensuring project delivery aligns with client agreements. Effective communication with clients and the production team, utilizing PM tools such as JIRA and Teamwork, is essential to ensure project scope and direction remain on schedule. Collaboration with technical team to determine appropriate solutions is also part of your role.

Proficiency in English and native-level Chinese is required. Strong leadership qualities are necessary to guide the production team, along with analytical skills to understand client needs, provide advice, and develop solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills are vital to maintain smooth communication with all stakeholders.

While a formal IT education is not mandatory, a deep understanding and interest in web technologies, especially for the Chinese market, are essential. You will be responsible for monitoring client business evolution with our technical solutions and proposing new services to help achieve their goals and KPIs. Additionally, you will support the sales team and contribute to pitching new projects.

Skills Required

• Leadership Skills: You will have to keep the production team motivated, resolve conflicts.
• Time Management: You will be working with production team, customers and management, often spinning multiple plates at once.
• Math and Budgeting: Project managers are expected to keep and maintain a budget in almost every field. You will need to be confident in using math skills to make sure you know where your company's money is going.
• Analytical Skills: You will also need analytical skills to be able to solve problems that may come up during a typical work day. You will be analysing data and making decisions that affect the project on a regular basis.
• Excellent English and Chinese communication level, verbal and written
• You have a bachelor or a master’s degree
• You have at least 5 years of experience in the web industry or as a project manager
• You are familiar with project management method Agile and Scrum
