Technical sales rep

Job Description: 

For the past 7 years, our company kept an average of 35% growth per year. In 2020, QPSOFTWARE also kept the same year-over-year growth despite the current pandemic.

QPSOFTWARE prides itself in having longstanding partners and clients who trust us, which resulted in high customer retention. However, to keep growing QPSOFTWARE is looking for a technical sales representative.

Indeed, since we are mostly selling technical solutions and consulting services, we really need a sales representative who has a good understanding of the web market and digital space in China, therefore please do not reply to this JD if you don’t have a solid technical background.

You will have two main tasks :

  • Business development : develop a network of partners, meet some potential clients and understand their needs (events, LinkedIn, business partners, etc)
  • Pitching : work with project managers and prepare the request for quotation

Report to : GM

Length : Long term contract


  • Participating to some events, organize public presentation, and give some visibility to our company through our expertise
  • Synchronizing with our marketing team to share ideas and strategy
  • Analyzing clients’ needs, suggest solutions: technical, strategy, design/UI/UX and estimate the number of hours/days for the deliverables
  • Communicating with our tech lead and account manager to prepare RFQ
  • Communicating with clients during the project, follow up the progression of the products and business of the clients, suggest new products/services to help them reach their goals
  • Communicating with project managers to verify the availability of the team for your new projects and HR to hire new staff if needed
Skills Required: 
  • Autonomy and self-motivated
  • You were a web developer and/or a project manager in this or a previous life
  • You like people in general and they like you
  • You like to sell, you like to analyze, and suggest/implement effective problem-solving processes or bring added value to our clients
  • You need a particularly good understanding of the web ecosystem in China and somehow have a little bit of a geek attitude
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Teamworking skills
  • A very good level of English speaking and writing (native speaker preferred but not mandatory)

Not mandatory but a plus for the selection process

  • Good marketing knowledge
  • Ability to make public speeches
  • You speak and write mandarin
